We loved the Aston Waikiki Beachside Hotel! The location was amazing, just steps away from the beach and surrounded by great restaurants. Plus, upgrading to an ocean view room was definitely worth it. The view from our balcony was breathtaking, overlooking the beautiful beach. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

The use of the word "antique" to describe hotel is almost laughable. Hotel is dirty, beds are bad. Horrible hotel. Ocean view did not describe the fact that you are facing a main street that has delivery trucks at all hours the night. Horrible.

the location in front of Waikiki beach was excellent. Near the International market and in front of the beach.
Very noisy. Maintenance is very poor. Looks old and weary. Beware of the rooms that finish with number 5: they have no window!!!. The best rooms are those with a view to the beach.

This hotel takes the money from my card without my authorization, and the staff can not answer what the charge for? They are not reliable. I prepaid the room charge US$143.6, then they deduct US$ 49.72 and US$ S$93.08 from my card again when arrived , and I contacted them many times, they could not provide the reason and what the charge is, I will not use this hotel any more. .

When we first arrived in the foyer, we thought we had been dropped off at the wrong place, far too flash for what we were expecting!! Lovely! The room we had a balcony and lovely and bright. Good facilities and the bed was very comfortable. The location is fabulous, right opp the beach and so close the international market place, bars and restaurants, bus stops to get to the shopping malls and around the island. We stayed for 6 nights and were so impressed, keep talking about it to all our friends! Before we arrived, as part of 3 month world trip, we had stayed in a lot of places and slept in a lot of beds and fully recommend this hotel. The staff are super and fully recommend this hotel...fabulous!

The location was perfect and very convenient to all the shopping restaurants and the beach.
The hotel staff provided with unreliable information with regards to bus transportation or places that have closed down for entertainment. Also the elevator did not work properly and several times I have to go down and up before I got off the lobbly. I was staying in the 7th floor.

location to beach and transport to other sections of the island.
Poor view from the floor where our room was which was level 2. We had a confirmation for a Ocean View room but owing to a concrete wall on the balcony we had to stand up to see over it. One double bed supplied not a queen bed as confirmed. Ocean view was about 15 per cent as there were large trees in the park opposite blocking what we had of a view of the ocean. We were not told of a free breakfast at MacDonalds as mentioned in one review. There was a flat roof area next to our balcony which made it very easy for any person to walk onto this section and then onto our balcony which meant that we could not leave our balcony door open during the night time or when we went out for the day.

Not sure what to say, speechlessly disappointed, my rating for this hotel is 3, not sure why Booked.net always calculates 9.5 despite negative comments, really not fare ranking system
